The Spirit of Harriet Tubman ~ storytelling

Join us for a moving reenactment of the life of Harriet Tubman, who was enslaved, escaped, and helped others gain their freedom as a “conductor" of the Underground Railroad. She also served as a scout, spy, guerrilla soldier, and nurse for the Union Army during the Civil War.

Diane Faison is a retired teacher, actress, visual artist, speaker, and writer who has created a one-woman performance that enables her audience to take a step back in time and meet “The Spirit of Harriet Tubman.”

The Chatham County Historical Association invites you to join us for Ms. Faison’s performance on Sunday, 29 September, 2019, at 2:00pm in the Historic Chatham County Courthouse in Pittsboro. The program is appropriate for adults and school-aged children. Everyone is invited to the free performance.
