Central Carolina Hospital, a DukeLifepoint Hospital, is a 137-bed acute care hospital that serves the health care needs of Lee County and surrounding communities. With over 120 physicians, the hospital offers a wide range of specialties including cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, otolaryngology, emergency medicine, emergency medical services, gastroenterology, pediatrics, hospitalist services, internal medicine, nephrology, neurology, hematology, urology, podiatry, dentistry, pulmonary medicine, and wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Hospital services include emergency room, physical and occupational therapy, ophthalmology, cardiac rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging and radiology, inpatient and outpatient surgery, dialysis, maternity services, nutritional counseling by clinical dietitians, and diagnostic cardiac catheterization. Central Carolina Hospital was reaccredited by the Joint Commission for a 3 year period in May 2015.

Chatham Hospital UNC Healthcare
Chatham Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, located in Siler City, NC, that is part of the UNC Health Care System. This hospital has a 76-year history of providing health care to the residents of Chatham and surrounding counties.
The hospital, re-accredited by The Joint Commission September 11th 2015, provides surgical, medical, pediatric, and emergency services. Community-based outpatient services in the area of Diabetes Education, Physical Therapy, Imaging, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Rehabilitation are also offered.
As a critical access hospital, Chatham Hospital is able to utilize beds to provide interim care to patients who no longer require acute medical care, but need additional time and care for strengthening and recuperation before returning home.
The 10-bed emergency department provides full-service around-the-clock care to more than 1,200 adults and children each month. UNC Health Care bases a helicopter for transport on the grounds of Chatham Hospital.

Under the leadership of Hew Fulton, chair of the FirstHealth Board of Directors, sixteen volunteer board members from Moore, Montgomery, Richmond, Hoke and Scotland counties govern FirstHealth; there are also four entity boards. David J. Kilarski serves as chief executive officer for the health care system.
FirstHealth Regional EMS System - Chatham
FirstHealth EMS provides emergency medical services in Chatham, Richmond and Montgomery Counties. Paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) with special training in trauma and cardiac care staff the ambulances in FirstHealth’s Regional Emergency Medical Services (EMS) System. Each ambulance is equipped with advanced equipment including 12-lead EKGs to assist with the early recognition of a heart attack.
