We are looking for a General Manager to lead, direct and oversee effective daily operations of various entities, which fall under the Hunt Forest Resources organizational structure. Position will be responsible for helping formulate overall growth and operational strategies, manage various teams of personnel, establish policies and procedures, achieve more efficient and effective production goals and, ultimately and constantly, leading by example. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our teams develop and be productive, while ensuring company profits are on the rise and costs are being minimized. Please note: While this position will require some office time, the job functions require constant oversight of field operations, such as logging and trucking logistics, and direct oversight of production operations such as firewood packaging and woodyard operations. 



  • Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations 
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth 
  • Minimize costs while maximizing production and profits 
  • Help establish policies and processes 
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally 
  • Assist in recruitment and training of new employees 
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance of various work teams 
  • Assist in directing the employee assessment process 
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management 
  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations 
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors) 
  • Implement and execute Quality Control/Quality Assurance programs 
  • Promote safe work habits with safety initiatives and trainings 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of training and work experiences 
  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.) 
  • Strong leadership, management, computer skills, note taking, report writing and attention to detail 
  • Ability to build strong working relationships 
  • Able to demonstrate high level of integrity and operate with safety, maintenance and productivity (in that order) in mind 
  • Willingness to learn new approaches, operate various equipment, travel to job sites and accept constructive criticism 
  • High level of self-determination, self-initiative and a positive “can do” attitude is a must 

Skills and Training 

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar management/leadership role 
  • Experience in planning and budgeting 
  • Strong analytical ability 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills 
  • Problem-solving aptitude 
  • Conflict management and dispute resolution skills 
  • Operations or Project Management experience preferred 
  • Background or knowledge of agricultural, wood products and/or timber industry business preferred

The objective of the Small Business Center Coordinator is to increase the number of viable small businesses in Chatham County by providing high-quality, readily accessible assistance to prospective and existing small business owners which will lead to job creation and retention. The Small Business Center Coordinator will be a community-based provider of education and training, counseling, referral, and information. This position will be responsible for Small Business Center activities in Chatham County and requires travel within Chatham County as well as out of town to attend meetings, training, and/or conferences.


  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Additionally, applicants shall disclose if they have been a principal officer or owner for any business which filed bankruptcy within the past 7 years.

Central Carolina Community College is working with Randolph and Sandhills Community Colleges to develop a Truck Driving Program.  They are currently accepting applications for the coordinator position that would run the new program.  





This is a full-time position and the salary ranges from $12.50 - $17.25 an hour. This is not an entry level position, so skills and experience will be considered when determining a pay rate. All positions start with a 90 day trial period, followed by a 50¢ pay bump after successful completion.


Job Description

The Wellness Grocery Lead heads organized and smooth running wellness and bulk sections that focus on a wide variety of local, natural and organic foods. They will also assist with opening/ closing responsibilities, which includes cashiering and cash handling. The Wellness Grocery Lead will meet department objectives for sales, margin and customer service satisfaction. They support The Grocery Manager’s goals for all grocery departments through their work by performing other tasks as assigned. In the absence of a manager, The Wellness Grocery Lead will be a person in charge.

Basic Function:  To manage the recruitment, orientation, training, ongoing support, in-service training opportunities, and retention of tutors and volunteers. 


Responsibilities of the Volunteer Coordinator include:

  • Recruiting, training, and providing ongoing support to volunteers.
  • Providing guidance to tutors regarding best practice in adult literacy,
  • Working with the Student Coordinator to determine tutoring adult learner/volunteer matches
  • Coordinating literacy programs, 
  • Maintaining adult literacy library of educational and instructional materials, to include ordering,
  • Entering and maintaining tutor-related data in organizational database, 
  • Producing monthly tracking reports and volunteer newsletters,
  • Developing and conducting tutor-related surveys, 
  • Organizing volunteers to participate in community outreach events, and 
  • Identifying volunteers to work with Chatham Literacy in other capacities to support the agency.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms, i.e.: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Linked-in.
  • Navigating skills and comprehension of virtual platforms.

Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week).  Hours worked in the Siler City office, with some travel to meetings.  Some work is currently being done from home due to the pandemic.


Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts Degree or Associate Degree with three years of experience in volunteer coordination, the field of adult literacy, and community outreach.  Must have computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, and database entry.  Must possess an attention to detail, an ability to work independently, and good organizational, writing, and communication skills.  Ability to communicate in Spanish, preferred.
