Campground Assistants Needed - Companion Camp

Looking for a part-time job in a friendly work environment? Enjoy pet care and working outdoors?  If so apply to be a member of the motivated team of Campground Assistants at Companion Camp.

Campground Assistants hike and feed dogs, clean pet lodgings, and help maintain the grounds. Team members work independently, multitask under time pressure, show meticulous attention to details, and have an excellent work attendance history.

Campground Assistants comfortably walk and feed a wide range of dogs, including large, small, and those with special needs. Team members also clean pet accommodations.

Morning (7:30-10:30 AM) and afternoon (2:30-6:00 PM) shifts are available. Shift schedules are flexible. Availability for busy weekends and holidays is preferred. 

Campground Assistants must be at least 16 years of age and must have reliable transportation to Companion Camp. Wages are competitive.

  • Strong leadership, management, computer skills, note taking, report writing and attention to detail 
  • Ability to build strong working relationships 
  • Able to demonstrate high level of integrity and operate with safety, maintenance and productivity (in that order) in mind 
  • Willingness to learn new approaches, operate various equipment, travel to job sites and accept constructive criticism 
  • High level of self-determination, self-initiative and a positive “can do” attitude is a must 

Skills and Training 

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar management/leadership role 
  • Experience in planning and budgeting 
  • Strong analytical ability 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills

  • Operations or Project Management experience preferred
