Play Scrabble for Literacy

“EXCITED” is the seven letter word to describe Chatham Literacy Council’s new fundraiser! That could be your winning word at the First Annual “Play Scrabble® for Literacy” event on June 16th, 2018 from 5:30pm to 10:00 pm.


Anyone age 16 and older can test wits at this event to be held at the Chatham County Agricultural and Convention Center at 1192-US-64 Business in Pittsboro.


The evening with emcee Pam Smith, includes playing Scrabble® as an individual or as part of a team, buffet dinner, music, bucket raffle, and prizes. Dinner and raffle ticket purchases occur from 5:30pm-6:30pm.


Tickets for this FUNdraising event are $30 per game player and $20 for non-players. Registration for the event begins on April 20 and should be made before June 9th at, or by mail to Chatham Literacy at P.O. Box 1696, Pittsboro, NC 27312. You can also purchase bucket raffle tickets or Scrabble® mulligans the night of the event.


Chatham Literacy Council helps adults living or working in Chatham County acquire the literacy and educational skills they need to function successfully in society.
