I moved to Chatham County in 2006 and in 2007 I became a Real Estate Broker. I wanted to learn more about Chatham County so after some research I decided to join the Chatham Chamber and apply for the Leadership Chatham Program sponsored by the Chatham Chamber of Commerce. Throughout the year long Leadership Chatham Program I learned a great deal about Chatham County. We met with business leaders, government officials, farmers and learned about “all things Chatham”. The knowledge I gained has helped me grow my business, meet people and stay involved in our community and the Chamber.
The Chatham Chamber of Commerce offers many opportunities for businesses to network…..Business After Hours, Lunch & Learn, Business Expo, just to name a few. Meeting and mingling with other business leaders allows Chamber members to get connected with their community and stay informed of opportunities throughout Chatham County.
My involvement in the Chatham County Chamber of Commerce has enhanced my business and enabled me to meet the wonderful people of Chatham County. What are you waiting for…..Join the Chatham Chamber of Commerce and see how it can enhance your business!

The Chatham Chamber of Commerce does a great job of promoting the interests of business and industry in Chatham County. I particularly appreciate the manner in which the Chamber collaborates with Central Carolina Community College through education and outreach to potential entrepreneurs in the county. The networking opportunities provided through ribbon cuttings and business before and after hours are a tremendous asset to the county. Kudos to our Chatham Chamber of Commerce!

When the historian’s review the recession that began in the fall of 2008 it is for certain that they will declare that it would be impossible for a new company to survive especially a service business that depends solely on discretionary income. But indeed we have been able to survive and somewhat prosper and it would not have been possible without the help of the Chatham Chamber of Commerce. The networking events and support that we have received have been invaluable in introducing and maintaining relationships in the Chatham community. Through the Chamber our business has been exposed thanks to Business After Hours events, the Business Expo, the Annual Chamber Golf Tournament and so many other opportunities. We are immensely grateful to have had the help of the Chatham Chamber of Commerce during the recession, and we look forward to a long relationship with them in the future.

Joining the Chatham Chamber of Commerce was the best thing that I ever could have done for my business. I hesitated for too long and finally jumped in and found myself in a very comfortable and nurturing place, well worth the price of membership. The Business After Hours and Business Before Hours, Business Expo, Golf Tournaments my husband participates in, Lunch and Learns, not to mention all the advertising, make it well worth it. The Chamber has helped me to network with other businesses and has kept me informed of what is going on in the business world of Chatham County.

About the Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Chatham program:
As the Chamber of Commerce succeeds in building bridges between the many small businesses and economic sectors across Chatham’s 707 square miles, it also builds lasting ties between the individuals who own and work in those business through the Leadership Chatham program. The program offers a unique opportunity for Chatham residents to team up and explore the main stream and wayside businesses, focusing monthly on a different aspect of our County: Agriculture, industry, health and human services, local government services, tourism, schools. The in depth access offered one day a month allows participants to expand their understanding of the County’s commerce, meet many entrepreneurs committed to their products and services, and generally see what goes on beyond the public eye. I discovered, after getting to know so many different businesses, that products I thought could not be purchased locally are readily available. I encourage everyone who wants to see Chatham’s commerce thrive to invest in the Leadership Chatham course. You will experience a broadened perspective of our community’s capabilities and leaders.
