Developing future leaders
of Chatham County

Chatham County, like North Carolina, is growing
rapidly, and with growth new opportunities arise
and the need for effective leaders becomes impera-
tive. The Chamber is
dedicated to supporting and
promoting business and to helping mold Chatham
County into a place that everyone is proud to do
business and call home.
Leadership Chatham takes
you on a through the social, cultural, political and
economic makeup of your community.  Access to
existing community experts yield firsthand know-
ledge of critical issues facing Chatham County.

You will form a bond with other participants in the
program and work closely with them to develop
and present a Class
Project relative to the success
of Chatham County.  The Leadership Chatham
program is a developmental program that will be
cemented in your mind as you resent yourself to
Chatham as a leader.

As you know our leaders greatly influence the
success of Chatham County.  Through your
hands on experiences,    you will gain invaluable
knowledge and skills that will help you to become
one of those influential leaders
in the community.

“I assumed the position of President of  the Chatham
County Economic Development Corporation last
June and began the Leadership Chatham program
in September.  Leadership Chatham is a crash course
in all  things of Chatham – from agriculture and
arts
to economic development and education to social
services and tourism. The program offered a great
overview of  Chatham County’s diversity and an
opportunity to meet others. I  highly recommend
the program.”
