Located in the center of North Carolina, Chatham County is the 20th largest county in North Carolina and has one of the state’s fastest growing populations. Jordan Lake and its nearly 14,000 acres of water, is visited by more than one million each year. Literally thousands make their way every year to Southern Supreme Gourmet Specialties in Bear Creek to enjoy gourmet food tours and to attend their Holiday Open House. Southern Supreme is open year-round and welcomes groups and bus tours. Old Fashioned Farmers’ Day, an event organized by the Silk Hope Ruritans, also attracts thousands annually. While in Chatham, you will not want to miss Carolina Tiger Rescue, an amazing wildlife sanctuary that attracts more than 13,000 guests per year. Chatham County is bordered by Harnett, Lee, Moore, Randolph, Alamance, Durham, Wake, and Orange counties.
